Bio

Karen has worked as a GP and Practice Owner of Terrigal and Avoca Beach Medical Centres since 1990 and holds a strong advocacy role for patients and their families, GPs and other health professionals in our community.

Karen is a GP with a special focus on equitable access to coordinated and integrated high standards of quality healthcare for all Australians. Her interests are in helping people with managing their own health and wellbeing holistically and has a very person-centred approach to healthcare.

Karen is a founding member and Chair of the Central Coast Clinical Council of the hunter New England & Central Coast Primary Health Network (The PHN) and has been a key Clinical Lead for General Practice for over 35 years. She is also an active member of the GP Collaboration Panel with the Central Coast Local Health District and The PHN and is on the NSW GP virtual Community of Practice (vCoP).

Karen was thrilled and humbled by being awarded the RACGP NSW/ACT GP of the Year in 2021 in recognition of her work in our community.
